The Arion SCH-1/SCH-Z is certainly one of the most highly regarded chorus and tremolo/vibe pedals used, widely seen in the 1980's. It's unique tone and deep chorus was favoured by many. Unlike many chorus effects units of the era that had a limited high frequency response, the Arion SCH-1/SCH-Z featured a special tone control that allows you to boost the highs when needed. It also utilised BBD Technology to get a superior low noise effect. However this didn't stop it from having quite a few notable issues that are always complained about by professional users.

These professional musicians generally use the Arion Stereo Chorus due to it's unique tone. However, there have been many requests to modify the pedal to make it more durable as well as better sounding. The highly skilled engineers at E.W.S (Engineering Work Store - Japan) have crafted special modifications to meet every pro musicians' most severe demands.

The result – sound is much more transparent and lively. The chorus or tremolo sound you have always wanted is now available!

The Modified ARION SCH-Z Chorus/Vibe pedal by EWS features the installation of a 3PDT Switch which makes the pedal True Bypass; a modified tone adjustment for much smoother sound while retaining the original tone; a vivid and readable blue LED; and the Chorus and Vibe mode is now switchable.**Note OUT2(STEREO) is no longer available due to this MOD.
